National Military History Center

The National Military History Center (5634 CR 11A, Auburn, IN) will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Remembrance to honor all veterans. Featured this year will be the presentation of the Siberian Cross to a Soviet gulag survivor and Auburn resident, Stanley Kowalski. The tale of his survival is featured in the book "No Place to Call Home". The Executive Director of the Museum, Bob Krafft, will present the medal. A representative from Senator Souder's office will also be in attendance.

The ceremony starts at 11 am on Monday, May 25, 2009. There will also be a presentation by Honor Flight Northeast Indiana to the History Center as well as words from a veteran who went on the first flight. Free refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
