Masterworks: Featuring the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Campus Symphonic Band

This concert will highlight the long tradition of folk music in wind band literature. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform Percy Grainger's Lincolnshire Posy and Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral from "Lohengrin." The ensemble also will feature a world premiere performance of the new work for winds by composer Diane Whitacre, Rumor Mill. The IPFW Symphonic Wind Ensemble is pleased to present this piece in its first performance, and Ms. Whitacre will be a featured guest.
